Desperate without Meaning

     All of history's cultural identities are gone, drowned in a tide of freedom and mass communications. Religion, Nation, and Science have split into a thousand thousand expressions, few of which offer "meaning" for we who have watched and listened to countless conflicted pleadings for Christianity, America, DNA/Nuclear, etc..  Our only remaining aggregator is money, the access to which is presently so skewed that for the vast relatively poor, their summary state of being is "justified desperation".

     Almost certainly we will not recover the wellbeing of social/political unity, real or imagined, that kept us strong for so many treacherous days in our past.  Indeed, more likely, we will continue to unravel at an accelerating rate, toward an end that will be, well, ....not so much fun!

     There is an, almost obvious, better option.  We could all adopt, by sheer will, a primal  reverence for "diversity".
